25th Annual Great Pumpkin Challenge 5K/10K 2025

Thank you to everyone who spent such a gorgeous day with us for our 24^th Annual Great Pumpkin Challenge. We had a fantastic turnout, with over 1,000 people in attendance! We could not have asked for a better day or a better crowd. Congratulations to the overall winners of the 5K, Emily Fraser of Ballston Lake and Alex Brooks of Mechanicville, and the overall 10K winners Ann Marie Moskal of Ballston Spa and Jonathan Lindenauer of Ballston Lake. First, second and third prizes were given out by age group. Winners who missed the awards ceremony may call Saratoga Bridges at 518-587-0723 to arrange for pick up Monday – Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm.  

The event featured NET Chip Timing from the Albany Running Exchange, homemade baked goods from our individuals, donated food, water, and product from Hixny, Bimbo Bakeries USA, Hannaford, and DeVoe’s Rainbow Orchard, as well as a costume contest and pumpkin decorating contest. The winner of the pumpkin decorating contest was The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown themed pumpkin; congratulations to Room 12 at our Wilton Day Services location! A number of Bridges Buddies participated in the 5K through our Walking and Wheeling Program, a 4-week training program leading up to our Great Pumpkin Challenge.
